Most County offices are closed to the public, but we are working. Call or email as needed.

Most James City County offices, facilities and libraries are closed to walk-in traffic. The County continues to provide most services by appointment, by phone or online. See the department directory or call 757-253-6728 for more information on individual departments and services. County parks and trails are open, and visitors are asked to follow social distancing guidelines. For more information about park amenities, call 757-259-5360 or check amenity openings and closings.

The County's COVID-19 public information hotline number is 757-564-2140. The Virginia Department of Health’s call center for COVID-19 questions/concerns can be reached at 757-594-7069 or 877-ASK-VDH3.

Board of Supervisors Call-in Option for Comments
Beginning with the April 14 meeting of the James City County Board of Supervisors, citizens now have a call-in option for public comment and public hearings.

To participate, call 757-253-6762 to record a comment that will be played during the meeting.

Recorded comments must be submitted no later than noon on the day of the meeting.

Please give your name and address for the public record and limit comments to five minutes or less.
