This project involves the design and construction of shoreline stabilization through the establishment of living shorelines along the Chickahominy River and Gordon Creek. The project involves a living shoreline with breakwater and beach nourishment on the west side of the park along the Chickahominy River, and marsh creation and stabilization using coir logs and rock marsh sills on the north side along Gordon Creek.
This project involves design and construction of upgrades and reconfiguration of the County’s marina (formerly known as the Jamestown Yacht Basin) located adjacent to Powhatan Creek. Much of the existing infrastructure has reached or exceeded its useful life and portions are unsafe and unusable. This project will design improvements to the entire marina facility.
This project consists of the stabilization of outfalls and stream banks to reduce erosion caused by uncontrolled runoff from upper headwater areas of the Mill Creek Watershed.
